Vir Vivens Laetissimus
(The Happiest Man Alive) by Remulus of Arabia
I am the happiest man alive... I know the most beautiful woman in the world... and no one else can see her beauty, I understand the most beautiful passage in the world... and few others do, I have the greatest Father in the world, and few are as lucky to have known such sacrificial fatherly love... I live in the place to be... I see beauty wherever I go when few that I know notice it... Little I own, but I feel very rich, I have savored the most sublime music, which made my very soul shudder while others pretend to have... I have conquered my hate for ugliness and my pride, but I still cannot comprehend ugliness... However, I write these words in tears... My love for her is unrequited... When I go to listen to the bearded man read the passage from the Book, I see his congregation bickering about titles, money, elections and the constitution... and by Fate's mocking scheme, I fail to repay the greatest man in my life, and in the place to be, I meet so many humanoids that are insensitive to the pain and suffering, the big pain this world is in... and when I try to tell my friends about the beauty I see, they call me a "healthy red blooded male"... I tell them about the most beautiful music in the world, but they can't hear it...
Now that I have bled me a bit, I turn my back to you and march on... with a hope for something better
