HERO ™ - High Efficiency Reverse Osmosis

HERO TM high efficiency reverse osmosis starts where conventional RO stops. HERO is a RO technology specifically designed to purify difficult-to-treat feed water. By effectively preventing constituents -that often pose problems to conventional RO process - from being a root cause to membrane fouling or scaling, the high efficiency reverse osmosis process offers the end user higher recoveries as well as significant operational benefits. How does HERO™ work?

HERO's high pH operating environment overcomes the limitations of conventional RO systems. In a high efficiency reverse osmosis system, RO membranes are operated in high pH environment and hence, in a “continuous cleaning mode”, eliminating the potential foulants, and resulting in a substantially improved overall performance. Historically, successful operating installations as well as pilot testing have confirmed that a high pH environment is a “cleaning environment.” Most constituents that normally foul the membrane are rejected due to the high pH.
