Batool and Imaan* - Muslim Krasivas
I took this shot in AUB in April, 2001 after the Easter recital of "Requiem" in Assembly Hall. The contrast of the style of dress of Batool (left) and Imaan (right) struck me. Both girls are Muslim (judging from their names) from "Sour" (Tyre), South Lebanon. The photo illustrates the mix of culture and tradition in Lebanon. * In Arabic, Batool means "virgin" and Imaan means "Faith".
