Flowers of Allah

Shrine Tribute to Muslim Women

This page is a shrine tribute to Muslim women... To me some of the most beautiful women that walk the face of Earth. With their veils - the epitome of humility - dark eyes, dark hair, dark skin, and the eternal burden of womankind ...

Sting captured the spirit of those roses from the desert in his song Desert Rose he wrote those lines:

"This desert rose

Each of her veils, a secret promise

This desert flower

No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this "

There is an unquenchable thirst in me to capture their beauty. Those krasivas that Mohammad, the prophet of Islam, described Paradise as being full of them.

Below is the start of my photographic project "Flowers of Allah" which was conceived in my mind, tonight April 18, 2002 inspired by Markos Karagiorgis (a.k.a The Destroyer).
