Water Treatment Consultant London
Kremesti Environmental Consutling Ltd is a small but highly specialised water treatment consultancy based out of High Wycombe which serves the London area in the UK. I, Rami Elias Kremesti (pic below), am the founder and principal consultant.
I have been working in the Chemistry field for over 30 years and I specialise in water treatment. I started my career working in Saudi Arabia on the petrochemical plants in Jubail Industrial City. Nalco, the company I was working for, trained me in an intensive course for which I am forever grateful. I used to carry analyses on the water chemistry of boilers and cooling towers and make sure that the chemicals we are dosing, like disinfectants and corrosion inhibitors, are doing their job.
I worked ten years on large power stations where I perfected my trade. In power stations, you need clean clear cooling water for the condenser and cooling tower, and ultra pure water for your boilers. I worked on those systems and gained amazing experience. One of the companies I worked for was ALSTOM which was acquired by GE. I worked with Swiss, German, Italian and French engineers, some of the best in the world and I learned the best practices in the field. There are standards for everything. Standards for water analysis, standards for water treatment, standards for quality, standards for design etc. The most important one is the unwritten standard of professional ethics.
In 2016, while working in the UK, i applied for chartership with CIWEM, the UK Society for the Environment and the UK Science Council. Belonging to these professional organisations allows me to keep abreast the latest in the water treatment field as well to network with other professionals.
There is a lot of inefficiency in the UK when it comes to engineering projects. Besides the bureaucratic red tape, there are a lot of layers upon layers of management that bog down the work of the specialised engineers. Decision making is delayed and costs are inflated, deadlines are pushed back. One of the worst ways to manage an engineering project is take away the decision making from the engineer.
My role as a water treatment consultant is to provide specialised knowledge to solve water treatment and chemistry related problems. I do not sell any products so there is no conflict of interest. Just pure, impartial, specialised know how.
So if you have any water treatment projects, want to recycle more water as part of your sustainability strategy, want to achieve higher LEED of BREEAM ratings, if you are hospital that wants to manage disinfection and Legionella and reduce infection rates or risks, you have come to the right place.
